Althea or Rose of Sharon
(Hibiscus syriacus 'Diana') is an outstanding
late summer flowering shrub. Large single, snowy white blooms stay
open at night making this shrub perfect for planting next to a patio
or deck. Foliage is waxy and dark green providing a perfect foil for
the brilliant white blooms. 'Diana' forms a dense, upright shrub of
6' tall and 5-6' wide. Althea performs best with at least 6 hours
of sun and well-drained soil.
