Red Chokeberry
(Aronia arbutifolia) is an outstanding native shrub for fall and winter color. It has scarlet foliage in fall and bright red berries which last most of the winter. Plant it in a shrub border as a stunning accent or plant several together for breathtaking impact.

Chokeberry has an upright, multistemmed habit reaching 6-10 feet high and 3-5 feet wide. Adaptable to most soil conditions, it prefers sun but will tolerate partial shade. Chokeberry has profuse delicate white flowers in May and glossy foliage throughout the summer which makes it a four season winner!
