'Yaku Jima' Dwarf
Maiden Grass

'Yaku
Jima' Dwarf Maiden Grass (Miscanthus
sinensis 'Yaku Jima') is a compact
version of the popular 'Gracillimus' ornamental
grass. A height and width of 3 to 4 feet make it a perfect ornamental
grass for smaller spaces.
'Yaku Jima' produces attractive copper color plumes in late August
aging to bright silver in the winter. Showy reddish autumn foliage
is an added bonus. Combine with sedum, asters and mums for a great
fall display.
'Yaku
Jima' prefers a sunny site with well-drained soil.
